Waxed floss may help if getting the floss between teeth is a problem. If flossing is still difficult, an interdental cleaner, pick or floss holder can also help.

When To Visit A Dentist

Most people should see a dentist once or twice a year to help prevent oral health issues like gum disease.

It is also important to contact a dentist if gums become red, swollen, tender or if they bleed. Loose teeth, a change in alignment, unusual sensitivity or an unusual taste in the mouth are also reasons to seek immediate dental care.
